We are a fast-paced commercial swimming pool management, maintenance and construction office that has an exciting seasonal Full Time/On Call opportunity available for an Assistant Manager in the Fort Sill, Oklahoma region.  The appropriate candidate will work at least 40 hours a week at the pools and perform the duties described below.  This position will run from May 2015 through September 2015 and, for the right individual, could possibly lead into a maintenance position to continue in 2015 - 2016.

 

Assistant Manager Responsibilities include

  • Act as manager 2 days per week
  • Assist manager in creating staff schedules 
  • Act as pool manager, working at selected pool 3 days per week

Manager Responsibilities include

  • Ensure facilities are operated in a safe, clean, and efficient manner
  • Supervision of staff
  • Chemical maintenance
  • Record keeping and reporting
  • Ensure all pool rules and regulations are being followed
  • Conduct regular in-service trainings with staff
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Neighborhood Center Managers of each facility
  •  Participate in weekly conference calls with supervisor
  • Address customer service issues promptly
  • Fill in as lifeguard when necessary

 

Abilities required

  • Previous management experience is required (does not have to be pool related)
  • Certified Pool Operator certification is preferred, but not required. CPO certification can be provided by American Pools
  • Must be available to be “On Call” in the case of any emergencies and be able to respond quickly
  • Physical requirements include being able to perform any and all work associated with the position.
  • The ability to handle pool related chemicals safely and responsibly
  • The ability to use a computer, develop word documents and fill in spread sheets
  • The ability to operate a fax machine

Salary

Salary will be discussed.
